Violence in the North Eastern Indian State of Orissa have continued unabated for the last three weeks which is a continuation of the persecution unleashed against minority community by the majority terrorism. Poor dalit and tribal Christians have faced the fury of the mob which many times constituted the upper cast Hindus in India.
Indian State governments have failed to protect the lives and property of this defenseless people on more than one occasion. Many have been killed and others have been left to tell the tragedy they have experienced at the hands of these miscreants. The mob did not leave the Catholic nun and priests. Many nuns were raped and priests were physically assaulted in their convents in the remote places. Hundreds of churches and houses were burned down and many hundreds of worth property were destroyed.
