Time’s special edition censors George Washington’s religious beliefs

Late last year Time Magazine released a 96 page “special edition” on the life of George Washington, entitled: George Washington – How the Great Uniter Helped Create the United States. The edition (available on news stands until April 6th, 2012) is written by Richard Lacayo. The publication is filled with a lot of valuable facts yet it excluded an important part of Washington’s persona – his strong belief in God. In fact, a number of historians continue to censor Washington’s faith. Whether this is intentional or not – who knows?

 

Democrat’s environmental agenda hurts Americans at the pump

The Democrat party continues to adhere to a radical environmental policy that is responsible for the current price of gasoline. Since President Obama took office in January of 2009, the price of gasoline has almost doubled in price. While production of oil on private lands in the United States has increased, production has decreased on federal lands. Why? Because the Obama administration has been blocking and delaying development of new sources on public lands.

As a long time California resident, I am ashamed that our federal court of appeals continues to deny voters of their right of choice. Such was the case on Tuesday when the courts ruled that Proposition 8 is unconstitutional in denying homosexual marriage. The court rejected the affirmative vote for traditional marriage by over seven million Californians.

Within the past few weeks, a good friend of mine expressed his concern about the recent jump in popularity for the Ron Paul for President Campaign. He told me said that “since one of my sons died from a drug overdose, I am concerned about (Ron Paul’s) position of wanting to make illicit drugs more readily available through legalization.”

Seventy years ago this day (on December 7th, 1941) America was forever changed by the surprise attack of Japanese forces on our naval base at Pearl Harbor (Honolulu), Hawaii.

Approximately thirteen years ago I participated along with a with feminists in a Los Angeles press conference that was headlined by my Christian friend, Tonya Flynt-Vega. Flynt-Vega is the daughter of the pornographer, Larry Flynt. The purpose of the press conference was to express our opinions about the then, newly released movie, ‘The People vs. Larry Flynt.’

Assistant Majority Leader, Sen. Dick Durbin (Illinois), is the second leading Democrat in the United States Senate. In a Senate Floor speech on Monday, Durbin urged Americans to break all ties with Bank of America. He told the  bank’s customers to “get the heck out of that bank. Find yourself a bank or credit union that won’t gouge you for $5 a month …”
