WASHINGTON,May 12(IPS)-The World Bank intends to ramp up spending onfamily-planning and related initiatives to reduce maternalmortality, improve reproductive health, and reduce fertilityrates in nearly 60 developing countries, particularly insub-Saharan Africa, according to a new five-year plan released bythe Bank here this week.
