BANGKOK,Apr 14(IPS)-Very few things–not even the political gridlockthat erupted into violence a fewdays ago–can prevent Thaisfrom celebrating the traditional New Year, markedby drenchingone another with water. But this year’s festivities were moremutedthan usual amid the uncertainty around the anti-governmentprotests, whichhave lasted for more than a month now.
